THE MASTER CONTROL CUTTING AMPLIFIER EMPLOYS FRONT END DSP GAIN (-12dB / +12dB) AND FIR PRE-EMPHASIS WITH 3 SELECTABLE PRESETS FOR FLAT RESPONSE AND HP / LP FILTERING, (DSP BASED ACCELERATION LIMITER* UNDER DEVELOPMENT).

FOLLOWING DSP, AN ANALOG STAGE PROVIDES iRIAA & FEEDBACK SUMMING WHICH LEADS INTO 350WPC CLASS D AMPLIFICATION, L & R CURRENT METERING, TRANSDUCER PROTECTION FUSES AND TRUE BYPASS CUTTERHEAD MUTE.

THE “MONITOR” ROTARY SWITCH SELECTS BETWEEN FACTORY CALIBRATED VU & PEAK METERING OF “IN” SOURCE AUDIO INPUT, “FB” CUTTERHEAD FEEDBACK SIGNAL AND “PH” PHONO PLAYBACK FROM LATHE TONEARM (1KHZ 7CM / SEC REFERENCE LEVEL FOR 0dB).

“MONITOR” SWITCH ALSO SELECTS SOURCE OF MONITOR OUTPUT (REAR L & R XLR) BETWEEN FEEDBACK SIGNAL WHEN SET TO “FB”, OR PHONO PLAYBACK WHEN SET TO “IN” & “PH”.

THE MASTER CONTROL UNIT HOUSES A BALANCED STEREO PLAYBACK PHONO PREAMP FOR USE WITH THE LATHE MOUNTED TONEARM, SWITCHABLE (REAR PANEL) BETWEEN RIAA (COMPLIMENTARY CIRCUIT TO THE iRIAA ANALOG STAGE) AND FLAT (NO EQ APPLIED) FOR DOWNSTREAM DSP RIAA DE-EMPHASIS.

THE MM STEREO CUTTERHEAD IS A MECHANICAL ARMATURE IN WHICH THE CUTTING TOOL (STYLUS) IS MOUNTED BETWEEN TWO ELECTROMAGNETIC TRANSDUCERS ARRANGED IN V2 MOTOR FORM.

MOTIONAL FEEDBACK IS EMPLOYED VIA DISCRETE VELOCITY SENSE TRANSFORMERS TO NEGATE MECHANICAL SYSTEM RESONANCE FOR FLAT FREQUENCY & PHASE TRANSFER.

THE DESIGN, BUILD AND FACTORY CALIBRATION OF THE MM CUTTERHEAD & MASTER CONTROL CUTTING AMPLIFIER SUBSYSTEMS ENSURE A MECHANICALLY AND ELECTRICALLY TUNED SYSTEM WHICH OPERATES ACCURATELY OVER THE AUDIO BANDWIDTH IN TRANSFER OF SOURCE INPUT TO DISK & PLAYBACK OF DISK.

SILLITOE MODULAR DESIGN ALLOWS WARRANTY, SERVICE, SUPPORT AND REPAIR TO TAKE PLACE WITH MINIMAL DOWN TIME.

MOVING MAGNET SENSING TRANSFORMERS CANNOT BE DAMAGED DURING USE (EVEN IF THE SYSTEM WERE TO BE CALIBRATED INTO SELF OSCILLATION).
